Amazing lineup of actors are plotting course for Inishmore

17 May 2013

Once again Cap T has assembled an All-Star cast of actors to tackle Martin McDonagh’s darkest, most violent, most absurd play THE LIEUTENANT OF INISHMORE. Rude Mechs regular Jason Liebrecht will join Cap T for the first time to play the titular character while Cap T regular Joey Hood (BUG, KILLER JOE) plays his arch nemesis Christy. Wes Raitt returns to the stage for Cap T playing Davey after appearing in our inaugural production of Edward II (which we would guess most of you did not see). We are excited to have several actors appearing for their first time for Cap T including Lowell Bartholomee (METHOD GUN) as the father of the Lieutenant,Cassie Stewart as the tomboy cow-blinder Mairead, Ryan Hamilton as Brendan as well as Aaron Crawford making his professional debut as Joey. Check out more info about all the actors below. You won’t want to miss this show, it has plenty of bullets and blood and a body count that rivals Hamlet. Get your tickets now!

Donny – Lowell Bartholomee

Lowell is honored to make his Capital T debut and to be back on the Hyde Park stage for the first time since 2002’s BASH (the dirigo group, Austin Critics Table nominee for Best Actor). He was last seen in Rude Mechs’ I’VE NEVER BEEN SO HAPPY in 2011. He spends most of his time offstage creating video designs (most recently VODKA FUCKING TELEVISION for Breaking String), writing (THEY’RE COMING TO GET YOU!, Austin Critics Table nominee for Best Play), and directing (A BEAUTIFUL VIEW, B. Iden Payne Award for Outstanding Direction of a Drama). An artistic company member of Rude Mechs and a co-artistic director of the sporadically productive dirigo group, he also has a Critics Table Award for Supporting Actor (SVT’s TEMPODYSSEY) and a B. Iden Payne Award for Supporting Actor in a Comedy (ASF’s A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM). He once saw Inishmore from the window of a tour bus and hopes that experience lends authenticity to this performance.
