Dream Team Announced for the Pain and the Itch

5 October 2012

Wolfe. Bradley. Fisher. Dieterich. Summers. Rael.  Seriously.  Are we the only ones who think this is an amazing group of actors assembled to serve as the All-Star Cast for THE PAIN AND THE ITCH?  A Theatrical Dream Team is tackling Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Bruce Norris’ savage comedy about the worst Thanksgiving ever.

This Dream Team is made up of a lot of familiar faces and a few new ones to Cap T.  Ben Wolfe returns after last appearing as a disgruntled rock star in I HEART WALMART.  Ken Bradley is trying to overextend his stay with Cap T after appearing in KILLER JOE, A LIE OF THE MIND, HUNTER GATHERERS and BUG.  His co-star of HUNTER GATHERERS and A LIE OF THE MIND, Liz Fisher is also in the mix (Some of you might remember her from DYING CITY also).  If you loved Indigo Rael as the daisy-duke-duke-wearing-shakespeare-enthusiast Sweetheart in EXIT PURSUED BY A BEAR we guarantee you will love her as Kalina in this production.  No stranger to the Austin stage but new to Cap T is the wonderful Lana Dieterich (AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY).  Also new to Cap T is Benjamin Summers who is currently starring in Hyde Park Theatre’s MIDDLETOWN.  Finally rounding out the cast and making her professional acting debut is Sadie Dragoo the lovely 6 year old who will be playing the oldest daughter Kayla.

If our calculations are correct this cast has been nominated and/or won about a bajillion awards and they give you 7 great reasons to get your ticket and see THE PAIN AND THE ITCH!
