Meet the cast of Gidion’s Knot

Cap T has teamed up two amazing actresses to pit against each other in Johnna Adams’ thrilling two-hander GIDION’S KNOT.  While Emily Erington is no stranger to the Austin stages this is her first production with Cap T.  Cap T audiences will remember Rebecca Robinson from her performances in SICK, HUNTER GATHERERS, and A LIE OF THE MIND which netted her a B Iden Payne Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress.  They are real life friends and have performed together in several productions together including MARION BRIDGE and MIDDLETOWN for HPT.  You won’t want to miss their amazing chemistry onstage.

Corryn – Emily Erington

Having performed on Austin stages since 1990, Emily has worked with several theatre companies. At Hyde Park Theatre, where she is a company member, Emily appeared in MIDDLETOWN (Top Ten Ensembles of 2012–Austin Chronicle), MARION BRIDGE (2002 & 2011) (2011 B. Iden Payne nomination–Outstanding Lead Actress; 2002 Critics’ Table nomination–Best Lead Actress; 2002 B. Iden Payne nomination–Outstanding Cast Performance), and BODY AWARENESS (B. Iden Payne nomination–Outstanding Cast Performance). For Different Stages’ Emily appeared in GETTING MARRIED, THE CONSTANT WIFE, ARMS AND THE MAN, DANGEROUS CORNER, THE RAVEN, THE SHOW-OFF, and THE TROUBLE WITH TOFU. For ONSTAGE Theatre Company, she appeared in THE MOUSETRAP, HARVEY, RUN FOR YOUR WIFE, and BELL, BOOK, AND CANDLE. And for Subterranean Theatre Company, she appeared in EDMOND, SIN (Critics’ Table Award–Best Supporting Actress), ALABAMA RAIN (Critics’ Table nomination–Best Supporting Actress), PTERODACTYLS (Critics’ Table nomination–Best Supporting Actress), and MARVIN’S ROOM. Emily is thrilled to finally have her first Capital T production under her belt!

Heather – Rebecca Ann Robinson

Rebecca Robinson returns to Capital T after having performed in SICK, and HUNTER GATHERERS, and A LIE OF THE MIND, which prompted a featured actress award from the Austin Circle of Theatres. Most recently, she appeared as ‘Margie’ in the Different Stages’ production of GOOD PEOPLE. Rebecca is a company member of Hyde Park Theatre and her credits over the past two years include Hyde Park Theatre’s production of MIDDLETOWN, Austin Playhouse’s production of ROOM WITH A VIEW, Doctah Mistah’s production of BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON and Tutto Theatre Company’s TWELFTH LABOR. Other notable productions include Hyde Park Theatre’s CIRCLE MIRROR TRANSFORMATION, Different Stages’ NIGHT OF THE IGUANA, and the role of the volatile Stevie in Edward Albee’s THE GOAT OR WHO IS SYLVIA?
