Meet the cast of punkplay

We are proud to announce our amazing cast for PUNKPLAY.  The cast is built from the ground up and while they haven’t appeared in a Cap T show before, they are very talented folks we have been waiting to work with.


Mickey – Chase Brewer

This is Chase’s first appearance with Capital T. He recently graduated from Southwestern University in Georgetown, TX with a BA in Theatre Arts. Favorite roles include Horst in BENT (Southwestern University), Ralph in REEFER MADNESS (Doctuh Mistuh), Seymour in LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS (Southwestern University) and Mr. Hopper in LADY WINDERMERE’S FAN (Austin Playhouse).

Sue Giki – Uyen Anh Dang

This is Uyen-Anh’s first appearance with Capital T, and she is thrilled for her debut. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.A. in Theatre and Dance with a focus in Acting. She has previously been seen in EYE OF THE BEHOLDER (UT/Laboratory Theatre), Lana in DEAD MALL (UT New Work’s Festival), Berkeley in CHEESE (Salvage Vanguard Theater), Marjoram in THE TRANSITION OF DOODLE PEQUENO (Oscar Brockett & Dallas Children’s Theater), JUNIE B. JONES: JINGLE BELLS, BATMAN SMELLS (Paramount Theatre), and other productions during her time at UT as well as various film productions around Austin.

Jack/Marcel – David Higgins

David Higgins is proud to be making his debut with Capital T. David is an Alum of St. Edward’s University where he studied Theater and German. David has performed internationally as part of the world tour of THE INTERGALACTIC NEMESIS. In Austin: THE BOY WHO LOVED MONSTERS AND THE GIRL WHO LOVED PEAS, THE NORTH PLAN, NOTHINGNESS, STRIKE, MAN FOR ALL SEASONS, plus many more. David is also a master electrician and has worked on many more productions in Austin, New York, and Boston.

Duck – Nate Jackson

This is Nate’s Capital T debut. He was last seen as Captain Campbell in OUR COUNTRY’S GOOD for UT’s Fall 2013 main-stage series. His previous credits include THE FAREWLL (UT) as a collaborator and ensemble cast member, SLIP RIVER (UT) as a projection designer and Arthur in TANGO (Austin Community College). He also appeared in the films BOYHOOD by Richard Linklater and 2013 Sundance Select COMPUTER CHESS by Andrew Bujalski. Nate is a junior at UT studying theatre and multimedia journalism.

Ines/Reagan – Rebecca Pearcy

This is Rebecca’s theatre debut in Austin, Texas having just moved here. In England she appeared as Charlie in CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY, Crystal in THE LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, Telephone Girl in MACHINAL, Esmeralda in CAMINO REAL and performed at the London Palladium and the Soho Theatre. She graduated from the Rose Bruford Drama School in England where she achieved a BA in American Theatre. This is where her great love affair with America began as she spent a year at Stephen F. Austin State University appearing in THE TEMPEST and co-directed THE LARAMIE PROJECT which was then performed in England. After graduation she moved to Lexington, Kentucky to work as the Director of Development and Assistant to the Artistic Director for the Actors Guild of Lexington and appeared as Thomasina in ARCADIA. She then moved to North Carolina where she appeared as Chris Gorman in RUMORS and Pattie in ONE DAY MORE for Legacy Theater Company. Other North Carolina credits include being a company member of the Tarawa Terrace Murder series and appearing in the films THE BRANNIGAN ACCOUNT, GET UP, THEY HAD IT COMING, THE OMEGA PROJECT, DALE ARCHDALE and THE HOLLOW OAK.
