Meet the talented cast of PRECIOUS LITTLE TALENT

apital T has assembled an amazing cast to produce the British hit Precious Little Talent opening January 25th at the Blue Theatre

Sam – Joey Banks

Joey Banks is honored to be a part of this exciting Capital T production. After graduating from SU in 2007, he has gone on to work in equity and touring productions around the country and owes every bit of his success to the Austin theatre community and their tireless efforts toward creating an enriching and welcoming arts environment. REGIONAL: “Lysander”, A MIDSUMMER’S NIGHT DREAM, Austin Shakespeare… “Leaf Coneybear”, THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE, ZACH Theatre… “Claude”, HAIR! San Jose Rep… “John”, GIRLFRIEND, TheatreWorks… “Pierre”, THE MADWOMAN OF CHAILLOIT,California Theatre Center… Joey also played such roles as “Tom” (THE GLASS MENAGERIE), “Christopher” (ON THE RAZZLE), and “Peter” (COMPANY) while attending college at Southwestern University and earning his BFA in Theatre.

Joey – Melissa Drew

Melissa Drew is thrilled to be working with Capital T for the first time. She is currently an undergraduate student at the University of Texas studying Theatre and Dance. Her last theatrical appearance was as the mother in THE MARINER for the Cohen New Works Festival. Her most recent acting experience includes roles in the short films BANQUET and SLEEPOVER produced by the University of Texas RTF department. Melissa is excited to be returning the stage.

George – Joe Penrod

This is Joe’s first appearance with Capital T Theatre. He was most recently seen as Avery in the Street Corner Arts production of MEN OF TORTUGA and as Joseph Harris in Paradox Players’ GUEST ARTIST. His local appearances include North by Northwest’s I LOVE YOU, YOU’RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE (B. Iden Payne award Outstanding Cast Performance); Lawrence Jameson in DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS, Don Quixote in MAN OF LA MANCHA, and Frederik Egerman in A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC at the Georgetown Palace; El Gallo in THE FANTASTICKS for Trinity Street Players; the Actors Co-op production of SIDE BY SIDE BY SONDHEIM; and I’LL BE SEEING YOU and GOLF: THE MUSICAL at Tex-Arts. He has performed nationally in roles that include Sweeney Todd, Salieri in AMADEUS, Richard Roma in GLENGARRY GLEN ROSS, and Serge in ART. Joe has worked with such illustrious composers and conductors as Leonard Bernstein, Sejii Ozawa, and Zubin Mehta. He has appeared at the Berkshire Music Festival at Tanglewood, Aspen Music Festival, and the New England Bach Festival. He was a prize winner in the International American Music Competition at Carnegie Hall.
